About Dr. Nancy Ho

Dr. Nancy Ho is a Board Certified Internist and Gastroenterologist who has been practicing gastroenterology since 2012. She was born and raised in the Chicagoland area, and after completing medical school and residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, she went on to complete her fellowship at the University of Maryland/National Institutes of Health – Health Scholars Program in 2015. After graduation, she became an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Portland Veterans Administration Medical Center and Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, until settling into private practice in San Francisco in 2021.

She is married with two daughters, enjoys hiking, traveling, and sipping a good glass of wine while watching the sunset.

Gastroenterology is a rapidly changing field with new treatments and technology emerging constantly. The amount of information can be overwhelming to patients, but understanding the nuances of their disease is critical in their care. I strive to empower my patients with the knowledge they need to understand and navigate their disease, and I always try to take the extra time to walk my patients through their care. Furthermore, all patients have unique perspectives, different expectations, and varying levels of medical literacy, and I encourage all of my patients to participate in decision making, and I welcome patient feedback and questions.
