Biography
Dr. Ihab Beblawi received his medical degree from the University Of Cairo School Of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, in 1987. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1995. He then received advanced training in therapeutic ERCP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1998. Following that, he received training in Endoscopic Ultrasonography at the University of California, Irvine, in 1999.
Dr. Beblawi has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of diseases in gastroenterology and hepatology. His procedural skills are broad and include upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube placement, endoscopic ultrasonography, and ERCP.
His areas of special interest are biliary and pancreatic diseases and gastrointestinal malignant tumors. Dr. Beblawi is an attending physician at Huntington Hospital, where he participates in teaching the medical residents. He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Physicians. He joined Alliance Digestive Disease Consultants in 1999. Dr. Beblawi is a member of the American Society For Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Physicians.
