Dr. Eduardo da Silveira received his medical degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He subsequently completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Miami. He went on to earn his Master’s Degree at McGill University, graduating with honors and completing an advanced fellowship in Biliary Endoscopy under the supervision of Dr. Alan Barkun. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in Endoscopy Ultrasound at Stanford University, where he served as an Instructor of Medicine. In 2018, Dr. Eduardo da Silveira went to the National Cancer Center Hospital in Tokyo and the Zhongshan Hospital in Shanghai to learn Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) and Per-Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM).
Before he started his practice in San Jose, Dr. Eduardo da Silveira worked for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as an Interventionalist Gastroenterologist. Dr. Eduardo da Silveira has multiple publications in the field of gastroenterology. His practice consists of conventional endoscopic procedures like upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, but he has a particular interest in high-risk endoscopic procedures like ERCP, EUS, ESD, and POEM. He is currently a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). Dr. Eduardo da Silveira is also on the medical staff of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Gatos El Camino Hospital, the Regional Medical Center of San Jose, and the O’Connor Hospital. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his son.
