Elias Tarakji, MD, FACG

Dr. Elias Tarakji is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his residency, chief residency, and fellowship training at Wayne State University, School of Medicine and The Detroit Medical Center. He has been practicing gastroenterology since 1996. He has a special interest in advanced endoscopic procedures and screening colonoscopies. He is highly experienced in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), swallowing problems, ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and biliary disorders. He is particularly interested in early detection and prevention of colon cancer by screening colonoscopy and polyp removal.
Dr. Tarakji is the Medical Director of Valley Digestive Health Center, our endoscopy center in Arcadia. He chaired the Gastroenterology Section and the Department of Medicine at Arcadia Methodist Hospital. He is currently the Secretary Treasurer of Medical Staff at Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Tarakji sees his patients at two convenient locations in Arcadia and Glendora and performs his endoscopic procedures at Valley Digestive Health Center in Arcadia and Arcadia Methodist Hospital, both highly recognized facilities for delivering excellence in healthcare.
